I tried this dress on and zipper broke. Also after wearing one weekend with normal use, I have noticed tears in the fabric here and there, so this dress needs gentle using. Still I love pattern and size, I just would like to see this lasting a little but longer than one wear.
We're so sorry to hear about the issues you encountered with the dress. Your love for the pattern and size is appreciated, and we truly value your feedback on the fabric's durability. We're committed to ensuring our dresses can be enjoyed for longer than just one wear.
Thank you for your understanding and for sharing your experience with us.
The dress is really nice and definitely worth it if you like the style! I find it super cute :) A couple of things that are not immediately obvious from the pictures:
- The fabric is pretty thick. Even though it is marketed as a summer style, I'd argue that the fabric is winter-appropriate as well.
- The upper part is pretty stretchy, the back (pictured) is ruffled and it can easily expand up to around 10 cm. So don't worry if you're larger than the measurements listed, even quite significantly. It also has a zipper on the right side. All in all, the XL size should be friendly towards brolitas and some plus size lolitas.
- There's a belt extending out on the back that you can tie up.
- The pockets that you can see in the product photos are real. They're wide enough to put a smartphone, but one would only go about halfway in.
- That big white "chestplate" that says "milk" is also technically a pocket.
- The two beige bows that the model is wearing below that "chestplate" on each side, are detachable through a safety-pin type mechanism. So are the smaller bows that the model wears on the pockets, and the two little flowers that she wears on the seams with straps. The smaller bow on the "chestplate" is permanently attached though.
- The straps are a bit adjustable, there are two possible positions for the buttons to go in.
- The skirt has two layers. The underskirt is plain white, looks and feels a bit like a bedsheet and it's there obviously for comfort and not to be seen - it's a bit shorter than the outer skirt and the seams are the rougher side out.
The product photos show the front very well, so I'm attaching a picture of the back.
