I am a newbie lolita, so this is my first proper petticoat; I can’t exactly say if it’s perfect because of that, but the quality is fantastic and it’s WAY more comfortable than other cheaper alternatives. There’s an inner lining to protect from itchiness, and it actually folds up fairly easily so it doesn’t take up too much space if you bag it.

I was looking for something affordable and the quality of this product is very nice. The petticoat came as pictured and isn’t scratchy as well as having an inner lining to protect for any possible discomfort. It also fits very well due to the elastic band. This petticoat works very well for my Moi-Même-Moitié Iron Gate JSK which has a skirt length of 50cm. The petticoat is 45cm which hides it perfectly underneath the dress. It’s also very fluffy but not overwhelming and keeps my dress in an A-Line shape. I have before and after pictures with this JSK as well as what the petticoat looks like by itself, I’m very satisfied!!

When ordering my first jsk I also had to get a petticoat and from a discord server I was on I heard some pretty good things about Aurora Ariel and the fact they only do A line is fine since I prefer A line over a cupcake shape :)

I ordered this petticoat on the 11th November and it arrived the 20th December, so a bit over a month but considering that this is around the time when postage services are flooded with Christmas gifts I’d say that’s a pretty good shipping time
~{Sizing}~
This petticoat only comes in one size so I was a little worried at first but I saw a previous review on here of someone who coincidentally had the same waist measurement as me (my waist is roughly 76cm) and due to the elasticated waist it fit very well and didn’t feel like it was going to fall off
The length was perfect for me (I’m 5’ without shoes) and even it I wore it on my hips instead of my waist it was still under my jsk. It was poofyer than I expected but then again I’ve never had a petticoat before but I didn’t mind this, rather too poofy than not poofy enough
~{Material quality}~
It’s made of glass yarn and feels like a smooth organza that’s less springy when you try and fold it and the lining is made of a thin layer of pure cotton. It’s not the softest cotton ever but by no means is it scratchy (do keep in mind that I have sensory issues btw) and I’m ok with it, also I’ll be wearing some shorts underneath so I doubt I’ll even notice it that much
Overall I’m very happy with my first petticoat and it gives great shape to the jsk I got :) and 42lolita also sent me a bonus gift of some sock with a black flower pattern and they didn’t have to do that but it was a relay nice surprise :D. I hope this review (/mini essay) was helpful for anyone thinking of buying this jsk or from 42lolita

I used 42Lolita to order my first ever petticoat (alongside a blouse) and it didn't disappoint!!
I was a little worried when I saw the package's size, but it was only temporary because after getting the petti out of the package and shaking it a bit, it became very voluminous !!!
It added a satisfying poof to my skirt, it was worth it <3 (i tried to add before/after picture to the review, but I'm not sure it worked haha,,)

Such a beautiful Petticoat!
