Boguta~Miss Dot~Kawaii Bowknot Sweet Lolita Backpack

Since I first saw this bag release I've always wanted it but didn't know where to get it. The bag itself is very high quality looking. I got the pink/white option with the included straps. I got L size.

First opinion out of the bag is that this lady is amazing. The look right away is eye catching and so cute. It's also works in the it's so dumb it's good category. The zipper pulls even had plastic wrapping to protect the shine. The logo is so cute and tasteful. It seems like it is machine washable which is great. The fabric feels like a woven polyester canvas. Like a typical backpack is made from but a bit less stiff. It is not waterproof. For the price I paid I cannot believe the quality.

Personally, the straps are very cute. Functionally they're a bit tricky to get on without some adjustments needed. They are somewhat hard to get on. I wore it with a cape as backpack styles usually work fine but they don't work for that. Usually it takes me a second to untangle the straps or to find the second one. Usually I get one or both ruffles turned the wrong way. The most comfortable option has been to make it a crossbody strap but that likely won't work for everyone nor everybody type. That said there's a lot of possible adjustment with the strap. I was surprised by how many adjustment holes are there. You can sinch it up so it sits quite low or high.

I also have a small worry that the pleather ruffles will need cleaning more regularly as the bottom of the leather is exposed and seems like it will absorb dirt easily.

The bag is pretty poufy and can handle a small/medium sized bag amount. The only issues are distribution and item size. I currently have a half wallet, a similarly sized reusable bag, my keys+work lanyard, and a small but packed toiletries bag. I also have stuffed a 500ml bottle of soda in there as well. I'd say that it is a similar utility to the tiny backpack style of purse. I saw another review on an EGL blog (really nice pics and details, I recommend reading) that suggested that the zippers can be easily hidden from view. It does make it harder to pick pocket for sure. If you stuff it to capacity you will be able to clearly see the zippers but you can still easily hide the actual pull tab. I think the nature of the attachment to the purse also wouldn't do well with regularly putting heavy things in it.

Overall I'd give it like a 8/10 due to the straps mainly. I would and likely will buy another.
